ALL four Champions League quarter-finals were thrillers and this week’s semis promise more excitement.
I tipped Bayern Munich to win the tournament before their incredible 8-2 hammering of Barcelona.
They were 3-1 but following Man City’s exit the Bavarians have been slashed to 1-2.
Bayern are expected to beat Lyon on Wednesday but first up it’s PSG v RB Leipzig tonight.
PSG looked a one-man Neymar team against Atalanta until Kylian Mbappe came on late on to add the support he needed.
Mbappe’s fitness has been a problem but if he starts it will be a huge boost to the French.
Leipzig were unfancied against Atletico after losing top scorer Timo Werner to Chelsea but were excellent in almost every area of the park last week and this is tough to call.
The French champs are pretty hot favourites at 3-4 with McBookie while RB are 16-5 with the draw 31-10 at Betfred.
Neymar missed a few chances last week but is the man for the big occasion so risk him at 15-4 to score first or 11-10 to net at any time.
I’m on goals again with both to score coming in at 4-6 with William Hill.
While the focus will be on the semis, Celtic kick off their qualifying campaign at home to Reykjavik.
It’s a one-off tie and almost a gimme – the Hoops are just 1-8 with McBookie to win in 90 minutes.
The Icelanders lost at the weekend and have admitted they’re a bit off the pace due to training restrictions.
Celtic will be raring to go and I fancy them to win by at least three. McBookie go Celtic -2.5 at 23-20 while a 3-0 win pays 11-2.
There aren’t many firms offering scorer prices as I write bu William Hill have Odsonne at just 1-2 to net at any time. The odds are better on him netting two or more at 21-10.
Super Singles
- Neymar to score first
- (4-1, bet365)
- (Celtic -2.5)
- (23-20, McBookie)
- Edouard to score 2+
- (21-10, William Hill)
