SCOTTISH clubs heard their fate on Monday as next season’s Euro draws were made – while we continue trying to find a winner for this campaign’s Europa League.
After wins for Inter Milan and Man United on Monday the other two quarter-final ties see Wolves tackle Sevilla and Shakhtar Donetsk meet Basel in one-off affairs on neutral venues.
Wolves will need to beat the Europa League specialists to keep their hopes of lifting the trophy alive.
Sevilla have won the tournament a record five times in the last 14 years so it’s no surprise to see them 23-20 favourites at McBookie to beat the Molineux men inside 90 minutes.
The Spanish side are on an 18-game unbeaten run and claimed an impressive win over Roma in the last round so should have too much class for Wolves.
Indeed, it might be a good idea to have a punt on Sevilla to win the tournament as they are as big as 6-1 with Genting.
These teams have good wide players so back both sides to win over one corner in each half at 11-10 with William Hill.
Youssef En-Nesyri’s goal against Roma should see him start again for Sevilla and he’s 11-5 with McBookie to net here.
In Tuesday’s other quarter-final Shakhtar Donetsk are unbeaten in 10 and should see off Swiss side Basel.
Doubling a win for the Ukrainians with both teams to score pays 13-5 with McBookie and that looks a good option as they haven’t been solid at the back.
On the domestic front, Hibs will look to keep their flying start to the Premiership going at Tannadice tonight.
The Easter Road men conceded in their opening two fixtures so both teams to score looks a good option at 4-5 with William Hill.
Kevin Nisbet heads to Tayside on the back of a hat-trick at Livingston and scored against Dundee United in his final game for Dunfermline.
The Hibs new boy is 11-8 with McBookie in the anytime scorer market and that’s decent value.
Well done to all the winners on Monday and good luck on Tuesday.
