Look out for newcomer Senita, a daughter of Frankel whose dam is a full-sister to the six-time Group 1 winner Midday, for John Gosden in the Khalid Abdullah silks but the vote sits with DANILOVA for the Charlie Appleby and William Buick team in Godolphin’s blue. She found only stablemate Wedding Dance too strong on her debut at this venue; that rival having the benefit of experience and using it to make all. A step forward today should make the Dubawi filly hard to beat.

Ghaly made a promising start in handicaps when fourth at York and joins Sir Michael Stoute’s Oslo on the shortlist but perhaps a drop back to the mile will aid DESERT CARAVAN. He was too keen on softer ground at York last month and didn’t get home but last year’s pair of novice wins on the all-weather were over this trip. With his yard in devastating form; he may bounce back.

A competitive five-runner fillies’ handicap and Baarrij will have leading claims no doubt on the back of his Windsor novice success. With the yard flying she’s respected but Dutch Painting and LIGHTNESS won’t make this easy. The latter has gone close in each of three recent starts and may reward Frankie Dettori in the Royal colours for coming here instead of Glorious Goodwood.

2.05 – European Bloodstock News British EBF Fillies’ Nursery (6f)
SHE’S SO NICE found only Hala Hala Hala too good on debut at Thirsk and that rival has since gone close in a Group 3 at Ascot; Karl Burke’s filly meanwhile made most of the running on her second start to score at this track early last month in a race that has worked out very well. Assuming the quicker ground is ok, she can defy an opening mark of 82 in this nursery and hold off the promising Famille Rose.

2.40 – It’s Not Rocket Science At MansionBet Handicap (7f)
INDIAN CREAK was a dual winner last season over this trip and ended his term with a fine fourth in a valuable 28-runner contest over 6f here that has since produced a trio of Listed winners (amongst others). His return to action at Sandown last month was encouraging and he should be sharper for it. With Oisin Murphy booked; he can outrun his odds in this field.

3.15 – British Stallion Studs EBF Chalice Stakes (Listed, 1m4f)
Sir Michael Stoute and Oisin Murphy can grab this Listed contest with KATARA. The Deep Impact filly made light work of her rivals last time out at Kempton last time while the form of Yarmouth second on reappearance has also worked out and suggests she’s ready for this step up in company with the champion jockey taking over in the plate.

3.50 – Gloriously Simple With MansionBet Further Flight Stakes (Listed, 1m6f)
Just four runners for this Listed stayers race but nothing much to split them on paper. It hasn’t happened for Withhold in three runs this season and so he’s got to remain on the cold list despite a drop in class. DUBIOUS AFFAIR is on a roll with three handicaps bagged since joining Charlie Fellowes and while this demands more, the Frankel filly may have it in her. Moonlight Spirit went out like a light last time at York and so joins Withhold as one to be wary of.

4.25 – MansionBet Watch And Bet Handicap (1m4f)
This closing handicap probably rests between Rhythmic Intent and MAYFAIR SPIRIT. The former was on the scoreboard last time at York and should remain competitive from 5lb higher but Charlie Fellowes may strike a quick double as the form of the Windsor contest won by his charge in late June has been well advertised by the three that followed him home. He’s up in grade and 4lb higher but boasts an excellent strike-rate on turf (5-9) and may add to it.
