Road to the final paved as Champions League and Europa League draws confirmed

The draw for the Quarter and Semi Finals of the 2019/20 Champions and Europa League has concluded, with four mouth-watering two-legged continental tussles determined and scheduled for each competition in August later this year.

In the Champions League, the crème de la crème of European club football will contest their quarter final double-headers between August 12 and 15, after the competition’s remaining Last 16 ties are completed on the 7^th and 8^th earlier the same month.

With opponents confirmed and itineraries drawn up, clubs can start to dream about lifting Jürg Stadelmann’s iconic trophy at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon on August 23.

The Europa League, which also has several Last 16 ties to conclude, will host its Quarter Final stage on August 10 and 11, with the Semi Finals to follow on the 16 and 17 of the same month, with the Final pencilled in for August 21.

When are the Champions League games?

The 2019/20 Champions League, which was initially meant to finish with the tournament’s Final on May 30, was officially postponed on March 23 earlier this year due to the growing COVID-19 crisis across Europe.

On June 17, UEFA announced that the competition would resume in August in an international summer tournament format, with all of the tournament’s remaining games to be completed inside the space of two weeks in Portugal.
