I’VE stayed well clear of the EPL since its return but it hard to ignore Tottenham chances to rack up a modest number of corners against a West Ham side in disarray
I’ve been focusing almost exclusively on the corner markets over the last few weeks and those following my selections will have made a pretty penny.
I like the look of Spurs corners tonight and there’s also 5 matches from the Austrian second tier which looks good for goals.
Tottenham vs West Ham (KO 8.15pm)
It will be classified as two points dropped for Spurs on their return as they conceded a late second half penalty against Manchester United on Friday night but they should get a much needed win at home to toiling west Ham.
Fellow London side West Ham were comfortably beaten 2-0 at home to Wolves and the pressure is starting to mount on David Moyes as the hammers slide down the table. They are only out of the bottom three on goal difference and its difficult to see them getting a positive result from this game.
It will be no surprise that I’m looking at the corner markets for this game and there are a couple of key pointers:
- West Ham are conceding 6.2 corner per match
- Away from home this jumps to a very high 7.6 corners per match – second highest in the league
- West Ham lost 6 on the spin on the road (9 defeats in their last 11)
- Spurs have an excellent record at home against the bottom sides and are hitting just under 6 corners per game
Its must win for Spurs, they’ve started brightly and they can hit 6+ corners tonight. Its slightly short at 8/11 but adding in over 0.5 match goals to bring it up to 4/5
Recommended Bet:
- Tottenham 6+ team corners / over 0.5 match goals
- 4/5 (NAP) (Bet 365 Bet Builder)
Austrian 2. Liga – Total Match goals ( 5 games 5.30pm)
Approaching the business end of the season and there are fewer leagues in Europe that produce more goals than the Austrian second tier.
We have 5 matches tonight and going by previous weeks since returning, there shouldn’t be any shortage of goals tonight, especially given the sides involved.
4 of these sides are delivering over 3.5 goals per game and in a league where all 15 of the 16 sides are hitting over 2.7 goals per game (11 hitting over 3.3) the total goals market is worth taking on.
Recommended bet
- 16+ total goals to be scored
- 10/11 (Skybet)
