IT was a busy weekend and we have a fairly quiet Monday as we build up to the return of La Liga.
Big game is in Bundesliga 2 where Hamburg can move above Stuttgart and into second place with a home win against Holsten Kiel.
Hamburg should win against a side with two successes on the road in seven months but the home pays just over 1-2.
There are also games in Greece, Czech Rep, Serbia, Bulgaria and Iceland and I might look to add something to Hamburg or leave it till Tuesday.
Highlight that night could be the German Cup semi-final between Saarbrucken and Bayer Leverkusen.
Saarbrucken are the first fourth-tier side to reach this stage, beating the likes of top-flight duo Cologne and Fortuna Dusseldorf on the way.
But their league was called so they haven’t played since lockdown and that must give Bayer an edge – if they needed it.
It’s been a fairytale season for Saarbrucken and just a shame it’s turned out this way with a heavy defeat set to follow. You have to feel for their supporters who are missing out on the game of their lives.
Well done to all the winners on Sunday including Greg with his nap and a shout-out to Aussie Shane whose first tip was a winner thanks to draw and both to score at Augsburg – with both goals coming in the final four minutes.
My treble started well with wins for Wolfsburg and Legia Warsaw but I was later let down by a lack of goals at Slavia Prague.
