THE only online bookie that lists SPFL and first-scorer prices for every game are McBookie.
McBookie’s Damian Walker is back with his first-scorer tips and he’s also challenging punters to pick their own.
Every week one person with a correct prediction will be chosen at random to win a £10 bet – and if you backed your tip with McBookie with at least a fiver they’ll double the prize to £20.
You can comment with your pick here and give any reasoning but to enter the contest you have to email mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk. There were no winners last week.
Quote player’s club and first-scorer price with McBookie – Scottish league and cup games only – for a chance to win.
Here is Damian with this weekend’s selections.
He says: “I’m starting with Dunfermline who have come out of a weather-imposed mini break to renew their push for a play-off place.
“The Pars have put five straight league defeats behind them and should make the top four. They didn’t play for 24 days in February but are back in form and face relegation-haunted Queen of the South at home.
“The Doonhamers have two points from 24 and haven’t scored in more than six hours. Dunfermline look big at 4-5 but are witho 23-goal striker Kevin Nisbet with an ankle injury.
“On-loan Celtic striker Jonathan Afolabi now has a chance to make a name for himself and netted the second in a 2-0 win over Dundee United. He is 5-1 with McBookie to score first.
“Staying in the Championship and Ayr look too big at 6-4 for their home game with Dundee. The Honest Men have conceded just three in six and face a Dundee side with six in nine.
“An Ayr win to nil is 13-5 and I’m on Aaron Drinan, with two openers in four games, to score first at 6-1.
“Finally in League One I like the look of East Fife at 21-10 away to Airdrie. The Fifers have won four of their last five and and I like Danny Denholm, who scored the winner last weekend, at 14-1 to break the deadlock.”
Recommended Bets
- Afolabi (Dunfermline) 5-1
- Drinan (Ayr) 6-1
- Denholm (East Fife) 14-1
