FRANK LAMPARD’S trying to build something special at Chelsea and faces his biggest test tonight.
Bayern Munich visit The Bridge as 5-6 favourites at bet365 and with magical memories of their last trip to London.
They smashed Spurs 7-2 in the group stage last October with Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry running riot.
Lampard’s young side remain top-four favourites and have performed well but could be blown away by a back-in-form Bayern.
Hansi Flick’s side have won eight of nine to return to the top of the table, netting 23 in seven games.
That makes Bayern look a good shout to win with over 2.5 match goals at 6-4 with Paddy Power – as the Blues are also capable of hitting the target.
Lewandowski and Gnabry will be tough to contain. The Pole has netted 25 league goals in 23 games and has 42 for the season for club and country.
He is 3-1 at Unibet to score first with Gnabry 6-1. Both could net – Lewandowski is heavily odds on but Gnabry looks value at 9-5 with Paddy Power.
Lampard must choose between young talent Tammy Abraham or experienced Frenchman Olivier Giroud who netted against Spurs at the weekend.
Talking of scorers – what about Lionel Messi’s four-goal show against Eibar at the weekend.
The Argentine had been written off in some quarters after a lean spell but bounced back brilliantly ahead of tonight’s trip to Napoli. Messi is 21-20 at Unibet.
It’s a tough match to call as Messi returns to the city that adores fellow Argentine Diego Maradona but I fancy goals with Rino Gattuso’s side in decent shape after three wins on the spin. Both to score pays 8-13 at bet365.
