GROUP D is one of the most keenly fought and tonight Ireland could be relegated from third to first.
To be fair it’s the scenario the Irish expect and they’ll need to dump Denmark at home next week to clinch a top-two place.
Ireland are level with the Danes and one point clear of Switzerland but their rivals are likely to win their game in hand tonight.
It’s only a matter of how many the Danes score at home to Gibraltar while the Swiss are no bigger than 1-6 as they entertain a Georgia side whose only points on the road came with a 3-2 win on The Rock.
The Swiss have a gimme in Gibraltar on the final day so it will be a winner-takes-all clash between the Irish and the Danes.
Finding value tonight is tough but I’m willing to take both to win to nil at 9-10 with Ladbrokes while Denmark -3 and Switzerland -1 should land at evens with bet365.
In Group E it’s between Romania and Sweden for second spot behind Spain and they meet in Bucharest. A draw will suit the Swedes who faces the Faroes last up while Romania visit the Spaniards.
Sweden draw no bet pays 9-10 at Marathonbet while both teams to score should land at 10-11 with William Hill.
Italy have cruised Group J with eight wins out of eight and are 13-10 with bet365 to maintain their 100 per cent record at Bosnia.
Finland are set to snatch second spot by brushing aside Liechtenstein and are no bigger than 1-16. Teemu Pukki’s goals for Norwich have dried up but I fancy him to score first at 9-4 with bet365.
