THE Old Firm face tough Euro tests tonight and goals could be the way to go.
Rennes and Feyenoord are a step up from what they’ve faced for Celtic and Rangers respectively.
The Hoops head to France for their Europa League while Rangers entertain the Dutch.
Rennes qualified for Europe by beating PSG in the French Cup Final and defeated them again at the start of the season in Ligue 1.
They sit second behind PSG and are 5-4 at Ladbrokes so start with three points with Celtic 13-5 at Marathonbet and the draw 12-5 with McBookie.
Celtic have won just one out of 15 away EL group games in five years and Rennes, despite missing a couple of star players, should edge this. Top striker M’Baye Niang is a doubt but is expected to be passed fit.
However, best bet could be over 2.5 goals at 5-4 with Ladbrokes as the Hoops are likely to score. Odsonne Edouard is hoping to impress on a return to his homeland after netting four in two games for France Under-21s.
Edourd is 27-10 at Unibet to net and 6-1 with Paddy Power to break the deadlock. Two other Frenchmen, Christopher Jullien and Olivier Ntcham, will get a chance to shine in their homeland.
Feyenoord have been leaky recently but they too have decent attackers and I don’t see them sitting back at Ibrox.
Rangers have performed well in the Europa League under Steven Gerrard and are 6-5 with Ladbrokes to pick up the points.
Feyenoord conceded two at home to Den Haag at the weekend and are likely to be put under severe pressure so again try over 2.5 goals at 15-4 with BetVictor.
If Gers defend well they could nick this but a draw is possible at 11-5 with Marathonbet while the Dutch are 11-5 at Ladbrokes.
Back Alfredo Morelos to score first at 9-2 with bet365 while dangerous Dutchman Leroy Fer is 13-2 at bet365 to hit the target.
Gerrard has tasked to his side to win it for tragic ex-star Fernando Ricksen who died yesterday and if they can raise to the Dutchman’s level they won’t be far away.
Over 2.5 Goals Double
- Rennes v Celtic (5.55pm)
- Rangers v Feyenoord (8pm)
- (15-4, BetVictor)
