PUNTERS welcomed the return of the Champions League groups but results could have gone better.
Both English clubs lost without scoring and other favourites such as Inter and Lyon slipped up while up Dortmund and Barcelona finished in a surprise 0-0 draw despite chances at both ends.
I needed the Dortmund game to complete my both to score treble but my chances were hampered by Marco Reus’ penalty miss.
It was also two out of the treble on the Top Treble with Salzburg and Leipzig coming up trumps but Inter being held.
So we go again with another set of eight fixtures including Shakhtar v Man City, Olympiakos v Spurs, PSG v Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid v Juventus. In fact the card looks tougher than Tuesday’s.
There are match previews on the site again and I’ve posted my thoughts on all the games.
My Top Treble is reasoned there and for the Super Single I’m nicking selectabet’s tip on Bayern Munich to be awarded a penalty at home to Red Star with Scots ref Bobby Madden in charge.
Well done to all the winners last night and I hope most of you are still going in the Last Man Standing contest.
