With no Premiership or Championship action today, its league One action for todays tips as Falkirk host Montrose and Peterhead welcome struggling Dumbarton.
By now, hopefully most of you will have listened the Gambla Betting podcast with Selectabet where we discussed this weekends matches and that includes a detailed preview of the Falkirk and Peterhead matches.
Here’s a summary of todays tips , all of which were highlighted on the podcast:
Falkirk vs Montrose (KO 3pm)
The Bairns are massive favourites to twin this league after last season shocking relegation. Ray McKinnon has assembled a really good squad for Scotland’s third tier and they should romp this.
They have a wealth of experience, are full time and look good value to beat Montrose at home on the win and over 1.5 goals market:
Peterhead vs Dumbarton (KO 3pm)
Jim Duffy’s Dumbarton side are on horrible run of results – 6 consecutive defeats, 20 goals concede, just two goals scored, another defeat here would see the writing on the wall for the Duffy.
Peterhead have started well and they held Falkirk to an opening day drew. They have an experienced side and can take advantage of Dumbarton’s current form to collect three points
Celtic vs Dunfermline (KO 3pm)
It was a shocking UCL elimination for Neil Lennon’s Celtic side on Tuesday and was really a sore one having led twice at home only to blow it.
Its back to Domestic duty in the form of the league cup and it really should be just a case of how many Celtic can score. They have been terrific in the league and should be far too good for their Championship opponents. Dunfermline likely to get the backlash of the Champions league exit.
