We now move into the 3rd Round of qualifiers in the Europa League and its a who’s who with some massive clubs involved at this early stage – Step Forward PSV, Espanyol, Feyenoord to name a few
Having looked through the fixtures its an absolute minefield with so many what you could describe as evenly matched clubs playing each other. Like last night, the over 1.5 goals market looks the best option.
Aberdeen travels to Croatia and like their previous results, I’d expect 2 goals to be scored , especially given the Don’s have goal Machine Sam Cosgrove in their ranks every chance we’ll see BTTS.
Torn between the Aberdeen game as a bet builder (2+ goals 3+ cards 8+ corners) but just going to focus again on the 1.5 goals market.
Rijeka vs Aberdeen (KO 7pm)
The Don’s were resounding 6-1 aggregate winners in the last round but this is much tougher task. They conceded on both away legs so far and its hard to see them keeping clean sheet against much tougher opposition.
They may have conceded in 3 of the 4 matches but they are having no trouble scoring having fond the net 11 times. 6 of those were scored by Sam Cosgrove and the big hitman is in the form of his life (27 goals in 32 matches).
Aberdeen more than capable of scoring a crucial away goal
Austria Vienna vs Apollon Limassol (KO 7.3pm)
The Cypriot team made heavy weather of their 2nd round qualifier and needed extra time to see off Shamrock Rovers. Hardly fills you with confidence when you conceded 3 goals to a Irish side although they have no trouble in finding the net.
Its been a rotten start to the season for Vienna – 2 games, 2 defeats 6 goals conceded and I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet tonight. Neither side strong defensively and that bodes well for at least 2 goals.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 1.5 goals double
- 81/100 (Betfred) (NAP)
Over 1.5 goals 5-fold
Whilst the games are tough to call, plenty look as if they’ll see at least two goals.
- AEK Larnaca vs Gent
- Haugesund vs PSV
- Thun vs Spartak Moscow
- Luzern vs Espanyol
- Sparta Prague vs Trabzonspor
Over 1.5 goals pays 3/1 (Bet365)
A market I’ve enjoyed good success with this season is a goal in both halves – you get fairly good odds e.g the above 5 pays 20/1
