It’s another important night for Celtic as they look to make a step closer to the Champions league group stage. They face a tricky test against Romanian side CFR Cluj.
Having watched them destroy St Johnstone on Saturday, they will be full of confidence and can travel there and come back with a positive result.
CFR Cluj vs Celtic (Ko 7pm)
The bookies think this will be a tight affair hence the very generous price of 4/7 on over 1.5 goals but given how Celtic have performed so far this season I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least 2 goals here.
Cluj are no mugs, especially at home and will make it tough for Celtic – they are more than capable of scoring and have a decent record in Europe on their tight pitch.
Nk Maribor vs Rosenborg (KO 7.15pm)
Another match where I feel the odds on goals are very generous – Rosenborg comfortably negotiated their way past Linfield and Bate but this is much tougher
They do struggle on the road in Europe (just one win in their last 11 UCL qualifiers) but with their season more than half way through and Maribor just starting, it could give them a slight advantage in terms of match Sharpness.
Maribor are a tough side to beat at home though and I don’t see them losing this – over 1.5 goals looks like it has a good chance.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 1.5 goals double
- 13/10 (Betway) (NAP)
Motherwell u21 v Spartans (KO 7.45pm)
The young Motherwell boys were one of the few clubs who performed well in last season’s competition – they host Lowland league side Spartans tonight and are 3/4 favourites.
Last night it was goals galore in the 10 matches played and this is another match which could deliver goals, especially as Motherwell u21’s are stronger than some of the other sides.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 3.0 goals (Asian Handicap)
- 10/11 (Bet365)
