It was a terrific Sunday for punters and as we move into the new week, there’s a match from the Norwegian top flight that stands out as 3rd placed Bodo/Glimt travel to basement side Stromsgodset.
The visitors are in fantastic form and having played three games less then top of the Molde, they are genuine title contenders. Must admit I was surprised to see them as big as even money for this trip given the difference in quality and league standings and whist I do think Bodo are clear favourites for this I’m siding with goals, something which Bodo/Glimt score plenty of (and concede).
Stromsgodset vs Bodo Glimt (KO 6pm)
19 points separate these two sides and given the contrast in form, there’s definitely a case to be made as to why Bodo/Glimt are on odds on.
They’ve won 4 of their last 5, scoring 14 goals in the process and only Molde have scored more this season despite playing 2-3 games fewer than everyone else.
Its been a grim season so far for the hosts and with just one point from the last 21 available, that is proper relegation form.
Tempting to go with Bodo/Glimt at evens but I much prefer match goals based on the fact the visitors have conceded in all 6 away games this season conceding a whooping 13 goals. Despite Stromsgodset’s lowly positon I wouldn’t be surprised if the home side managed to get on the score- sheet at least once + they have won the last 6 meetings at home between the sides.
That gung-ho approach from Bodo/Glimt probably why they are evens as they concede too many goals.
