IT’S a Saturday card that is literally jam-packed with action and although the UK card offers a veritable feast of sweet selections, I’m heading to Chile for something a little more savoury and may have spotted a potentially tasty bit of value!

Let’s start with a little bit of a history lesson and whilst the (very limited 3 game) current picture is devoid of many goals for both sides and is clearly the key factor in generating the prices, those pesky bookmakers have clearly not referred to their Chilean notebook for advice…I have!
Actually, I didn’t need to – this is one of the South American fixtures that is etched on my memory from the Chilean top-flight and there’s good reason too; of the last 21 H2H’s over a 12 year spell, there has only been 2 occasions where the goals tally has failed to hit 3 goals!

To put it a different way ‘overs’ has a 90% strike rate over a sustained period of time and that’s a rare standard – add into the mix that just over 80% of those 21 matches saw both sides scoring and 3 or more goals and you can see why I reckon this one is so spicy!
Coming back to the pricing, it’s not uncommon to base prices on those early season indicators but for me, there’s way too much history to go at here and it is a fixture that has been a very successful stomping ground in recent years – no guarantees but I’m confident here and will add that old Chilean favourite into the cooking pot for a bit of additional interest.
