LAST week I put up four selections and two placed (Minjee Lee 16/1 – 2nd, and Sergio Garcia 50/1 – 6th), after our stakes we added 10 points giving us a 70.3 points profit margin since the blog started here at MrFixitsTips.
A very heavy weekend ‘golfing’ occurred and numerous shots of tequila in the sleepy Grantham left me in dire straits come Monday. An evening at Toby Carvery on Monday got me excited however it was tasteless, 3 slices of cheese on Tuesday was the highlight of an otherwise difficult day, whatever anybody says about Cathedral City it never fails to hit the spot.
Honda Classic
The Honda Classic last year was won by my main selection this week, JUSTIN THOMAS and I know he’s short at 5/1 but he’s seriously knocking on the door.
The meltdown a few weeks ago left him in 2nd and a difficult Friday and Saturday in Mexico recently took him out of contention.
He’s the best player in the field this week bar none and given his last round in Mexico of -9 he can’t come into this week anymore confident.
Second selection is BYEUNG HUN AN. The South Korean has underwhelmed since his last win on the PGA but has the total game to dominate proceedings here.
The bear trap should not fluster the world number 51 and his 5th place finish here last year is something for him to build on.
Oman Open
ROSS FISHER doesn’t win enough for his ability but does have a strange habit of bringing his A game to the Middle East. In a less than stellar field the 25/1 looks big about the FISH.
JACK SINGH BRAR is the next biggest thing if you listen to the professionals around the country. He’s shown glimpses of form so far in his early career and the 200/1 this week is worth a small play.
