GOLDEN Oldie Phil Mickelson turned a three shot deficit into a three shot winning position to land our bet at lovely 25/1. Our other selections Grace finished Tied 28th and Cantlay withdrew so a nice 30 points profit over the tournament.
Lets hope for the same this week.
The Tour this week heads to the Riviera Country Club around 20 miles form LA. A par 71 course of over 7,300 yards with only three par fives and the iconic 6th which has a bunker in the middle of the green. Fun and games there I predict.
Our three for this week are as follows
Justin Thomas
JUSTIN THOMAS started the year really well with two top 3 finishes. An excellent driver and if his putter was a little warmer then he would have won. Finished 9th here last year and will go close this year.
Xander Schaufelle
XANDER SCHAUFFELE, one of our favourite players who finished 8th last year on his course debut.
Born and bred close by he will feel at home this week, will not need to improve much on last year to be in the mix.
Patrick Cantlay
PATRICK CANTLAY, a selection last week who withdrew when he saw the weather forecast with this tournament in mind, better weather is forecast this week after the hailstones of last week.
He has played a lot of golf in his college days here and finished 4th last year after being joint leader after rounds one and two. Will feel comfortable here and the course suits his game. Should be in the shake up come Sunday
Normal staking plan, one point each way and one point win Top 10 finish. Again all odds are with Paddy Power ( best place paying)
Recommended Bets
- Thomas to win 14/1
- Top 10 15/8
- Schaufelle 22/1
- Top 10 5/2
- Cantlay 30/1
- Top 10 10/3
Good Luck to you all
