IT’S a massive night for Rangers with Steven Gerrard knowing his side can’t afford to fall nine points Celtic.
Gers have been lifted by the arrival of Jermain Defoe and Steve Davis but visit a Dons side who have lost one in 11 – and that was to Celtic.
Only two points separate the sides and Gerrard has already lost twice to Derek McInnes – both 1-0s – in the league and Betfred Cup. Scott has posted a separate Aberdeen v Rangers preview so take a look with his focus on cards.
It’s a tough one to call but bookies have made up their mind by installing Gers at no bigger than 10-11 (Betfred).
Gerrard is likely to revert to one up top which means Alfredo Morelos should get the nod ahead of Defoe and the Colombian is 4-1 with McBookie to score first and 6-5 to net.
Aberdeen could be without red-hot striker Sam Cosgrove who limped off in Saturday’s win at Hibs but if he misses out the man Derek McInnes could be looking at is Greg Stewart who is 2-1 with McBookie to score.

Celtic have big injury problems but should beat a Hibs side trying to adapt to life without Neil Lennon.
Brendan Rodgers bulked up his squad in the transfer window and it’s just as well so should cope with the losses.
The Hoops are no value though at 3-10 and if Timothy Weah starts back him to score first at 10-3 with McBookie. To net he is 5-6 and his three goals since joining on loan from PSG have been off the bench.
Hibs have won one and lost one under caretaker Eddie May since Lenny left and he’ll probably approach this differently to the former manager. Lennon used to give it a real go at Parkhead and their last visit ended in a 4-2 defeat.
With May being more cautious I can Celtic possibly winning 2-0 which would be their sixth successive victory without conceding. Celtic -1 pays 5-6 at bet365 while Celtic to win to nil is evens with the Scots firm.
It’s hard to believe Hearts lost 5-0 to Livingston back in December when you consider the fortunes of the clubs now.
The Jambos avenged that shocker with a Scottish Cup victory while Livi are on a rotten run of five defeats. This looks a home win at 3-4 and consider Steven Naismith to score at evens with McBookie.
St Johnstone will be relieved to be heading to Hamilton after back-to-back defeats to Celtic and another meeting to come on Sunday. Greg’s tipping his Saints side and I totally agree.
Saints are a best and I like them to win to nil at 11-5 with 188BET having a string of clean sheets before losing three in a row to Celtic and Hearts respectively.
Hamilton boss Brian Rice picked up a point against Dundee on his dugout debut but they lack the firepower to worry a Saints side whose keeper Zander Clark has been brilliant this season.
Kilmarnock are aiming to bounce back from losing at home to Hearts and should be good enough for Dundee at Dens. They are 10-11 at Betfred.
Both meetings this season have been Killie wins with both scoring and a third pays 17-5 at 888sport.
