MAURICIO POCHETTINO upset plenty of Spurs fans when he took the Chelsea job and his popularity will plummet further if he leads to Blues to victory in tonight’s London derby.
Tottenham are now the only unbeaten side in the Premier League after bitter rivals Arsenal crashed to defeat at Newcastle.
That came after Manchester City routed Bournemouth, bringing up one of Saturday’s Super Singles as the 6-1 victory returned them to the summit.
But Spurs can knock the champions off the perch with a win over Chelsea tonight as former boss Pochettino returns to Tottenham Stadium.
Going for goals looks like the best option as Ange Postecoglou’s teams always play on the front foot and Chelsea have plenty of pace on the counter attack.
BTTS is just 3/5 (Unibet) and over 2.5 goals isn’t much better at 8/11 (BetMGM) but over 1.5 first-half strikes pays 6/4 at Bet365.
The odds are better in the scorer markets and Son Heung-Min looks good at 13/8 (Bet365) after six goals in his last six games.
There’s some action in Spain and Italy tonight as well, although the games don’t really set the pulse racing.
In La Liga, Getafe host Cadiz with just two points separating the sides in mid-table.
The home side have been draw specialists, with a run of five successive stalemates ended by a 12-0 rout of minnows Tardienta in the Spanish Cup last week.
On the same night, Cadiz needed penalties to see off lowly Badalona and they haven’t won inside 90 minutes since September 1.
You can back Getafe at 28/29 with VBet and that looks good with their opponents in such poor form.
The Serie A action also comes from the bottom half, with Torino hosting a Sassuolo side who sit just a point behind them in midtable.
Sassuolo have drawn three of their last four so the half-time stalemate appeals tonight (5/4, 888Sport).
Empoli can move out of the drop zone with a win but are away to a Frosinone side sitting in 12th place.
I’m combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals (11/10, Bet365) as that bet has landed in the last four for Frosinone.
Football Super Singles
- Son to score (13/8, Bet365).
- Getafe to win (28/29, VBet).
