The race to the Play-offs in the Championship never fails to provide drama and excitement and this year’s contest looks like it won’t disappoint.
Just five points separate seven teams from 4th to 11th in the table and two teams that are in the hunt meet at Vicarage Road tonight.
Having flirted with the top six, West Bromwich Albion have slipped to 10th so a win tonight is crucial to keeping their promotion hopes alive. Similarly, hosts Watford are currently outside the top six having been third just a matter of weeks ago. After a run of five without a win (D4 L1) a victory tonight could see them leap from 8th to 4th.
Only two points separate the sides and those four Watford draws in their last five outings mean only Rotherham have drawn more than the Hornets this season. Add to the fact that the sides shared the points when they met back in August and that three of the last four meetings have finished level, and this looks like another which could finish all-square at 12/5.
Well done to The Caddy who was on the winner’s podium again at the weekend thanks to 22/1 shot Thorbjorn Olesen who won the Thailand Classic & with it yet another matchbet NAP, beating Adrian Otaegui over 72 holes at 5/6. At the time of writing, Max Homa is also in with a chance at the Genesis Invitational which would make it a fantastic double for our brilliant golf tipster.
