PARTICK THISTLE suffered a setback in their Championship hopes last week at Inverness when their ten men went down to a late defeat, but they can bounce back on Saturday against Hamilton Accies.
The Jags were arguably the better team up until they had Kyle Turner sent off and they couldn’t hold on for a point in the Highlands.
But they have a glorious chance of getting back on track at Accies, who put on a performance last week at Morton described by Hamilton fans as the worst they had ever seen in decades of watching the club.
Their 5-0 trouncing by a Morton side who had been struggling themselves could even have been worse and manager John Rankin slaughtered the players after it.
However, there’s little in the way of proof that the former Dundee United and Hibs midfielder is getting his message across and they face a Jags side on Saturday who murdered the same Greenock side that Accies were annihilated by 5-1 the previous week.
Thistle will be desperate to make amends for last week and a win at 21/20 would see them remain top of the league.
LIVINGSTON can get back to winning ways when they face St Johnstone at home.
David Martindale’s side have been frustrated on consecutive weeks by defeats to St Mirren and at home to Ross County.
What’s made it worse is that in both games, Livingston have been by far the more attacking threat and still lost – they have had 18 shots and scored only once.
However, Martindale’s teams tend not to feel sorry for themselves for long and they face a Saints team who put a lot of effort into last week’s agonising defeat to Celtic and came away with nothing.
They lost at Kilmarnock and Livi are better than Derek McInnes’ men. Take the evens on them bouncing back.
CALEY THISTLE are in great form and they can make it five league wins in a row when they travel to Aberdeen to face Cove Rangers.
Billy Dodds’ side were arguably fortunate to beat one of his old clubs Thistle last week, but they are on a tremendous run that has seen them also beat Raith Rovers, Dundee and Ayr United – all away from Inverness.
In Billy McKay they have a course and distance predator and Daniel Mackay has been excellent for them too.
They face a Cove side they have already beaten 4-1 this season and can continue their great run at 29/20.
