STIRLING ALBION have yet to quite get their League Two challenge up and running, but they have the ideal opportunity against struggling Stranraer.
The Binos have shown glimpses of what they can do such as a 3-0 home win over Stenhousemuir who have been tipped as one of the teams who should challenge.
With the likes of lower league goal grabbers Robert Thomson and Dale Carrick in their side, they should be able to score plenty of goals, although manager Darren Young has complained about not taking their chances recently.
They are up against a Stranraer team who face a battle to keep away from the bottom spot on the evidence so far.
They have won just one game all season and have failed to win in their six games away from Stair Park. And with Matty Grant suspended, they are without one of their best players. All of which, adds up to a solid 23/20 on a home win.
KELTY HEARTS have finally got their act together after a bumpy start to life in League One and they can add to the gloom surrounding Peterhead with a win at 5/4.
The Fife side struggled at first after their romp to League Two last season, but they served notice they have turned the corner with a fine 2-0 win over Falkirk in their last outing at New Central Park.
Jim McInally is Scotland’s longest-serving manager, but his Blue Toon side already look doomed and out of their depth in the third tier.
They have played ten games this season and lost nine of them in the league and League Cup. Only an away draw at Clyde stopped the clean sweep.
Peterhead have conceded 11 goals in their last three games too and this could be another long afternoon at the Balmoor Stadium for them.
DUNFERMLINE can win the grudge match against Falkirk at East End Park at evens.
The Pars are top of the league and look well equipped to mount a real challenge under James McPake. Last week, they eased to a 2-0 win at Queen of the South that could and should have been more emphatic.
Falkirk looked like they had turned a corner but that defeat at nearby Kelty on their last outing would suggest they are vulnerable on their travels and the hosts can secure a big win.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
STIRLING ALBION 23/20.
KELTY HEARTS 5/4.
DUNFERMLINE evens
