After delivering three winners from four selections in midweek, SlipsTips is back with a double ahead of Saturday’s round of Scottish League Cup fixtures.
Raith Rovers vs Stirling Albion (Saturday, 15:00)
Raith Rovers will be looking to make it two wins from two in the Scottish League Cup when they welcome Stirling Albion to Starks Park on Saturday.
Ian Murray got his Rovers tenure off to a winning start at home to Peterhead on Wednesday as his side dished out a 6-0 pasting to Peterhead.
As for Stirling Albion, they opened up their campaign with an eye-catching 2-1 win at Dumbarton last weekend.
That being said, a trip to Kirkcaldy will represent a much tougher test for Darren Young’s team.
Rovers will have earmarked this fixture for an important three points given that they have a pair of road trips to follow, one of which is at Aberdeen.
With this in mind, as well as the likelihood of the hosts being buoyed by their showing last time out, I’ll back Raith Rovers to win as the first half of a 19/20 double with Bet 365.
Stranraer vs Dundee (Saturday, 15:00)
Dundee will be aiming to maintain their 100% record in Scottish League Cup group H when they make the trip to Stranraer on Saturday.
Gary Bowyer’s boys hit the ground running with a comfortable 3-0 win over Hamilton Accies last weekend.
The Dark Blues will be looking to back that victory up by banking another three points against a Stranraer side who are already on the verge of elimination.
Jamie Hamill’s team are propping up the section after suffering back-to-back 5-2 defeats against both Hamilton and Queens Park.
That doesn’t bode well ahead of a visit from a Dundee side who are the bookies’ favourites to win the Championship this term following their relegation from the top-flight last term.
As such, I’ll round off the recommended 19/20 (Bet 365) double with a Dundee success at Stair Park.
Recommended Bet
- Raith Rovers to Win
- Dundee to Win
- Double (19/20, Bet 365)
