With two days of Wimbledon almost complete, we look forward to day 3 as the tournament progresses into the second round stages.
Rafael Nadal was the headline act on the centre court this afternoon and progressed to the second round after a minor scare against Francisco Cerundola.
We were so unlucky on day 1 with our first Wimbledon tip, just a game short in the match between John Millman and Miomir Kecmanovic. The Serbian won in four sets 3-1 for the winning part but we were just one game short to get off us to a flyer. At the time of writing our day 2 selection, Sloane Stephens is currently making a second set comeback v Zheng Qinwen while Serene Williams is one set down on centre court v Harmony Tan.
For my third day Ace, I’m going to smash it in the direction of the gentleman’s singles match-up between Novak Djokovic and Thanasi Kokkinakis.
The main attraction on the centre court will see the six-time Wimbledon champion and winner of the last three editions move up a gear in my estimation. I just have a feeling that with no practice and much preparation on grass prior to Wimbledon, Djokovic now has a feel for the hallowed Wimbledon turf and will power on from here on in.
Last year Djokovic also lost the first set in his first-round match and then never dropped a single set on his way to yet another Wimbledon crown.
I’m thinking it could be more of the same tomorrow so my recommendation is for Novak Djokovic to win this quickly and easily with under 29.5 games best priced at 10/11 with Bet365.
