With 20 mins to go on Friday night it looked like job done for St Johnstone at Inverness but Reece McAlear had different ideas.
The young on-loan Norwich striker scored twice in seven minutes to level the scores at 2-2 and set-up a thrilling showdown tonight at McDiarmid Park for a place in the Scottish Premiership next season.
The bookies still make St Johnstone the clear favourites to retain their top flight status at 2/5 but Inverness shouldn’t be completely written off at 7/4.
The Saints are 4/5 to win inside the 90 minutes but they only managed five home wins in 19 in the league this season.
Bobby Madden kept his cards in his pocket in the first leg, as he tends to do, with only Glen Middleton picking up a booking but things could be a bit more tetchy tonight with Nick Walsh on the whistle. But the line is set high at Over 4.5 so it could be better to look to inviduals to pick up a card. Davidson, Craig, Gordon and Rooney are all worth considering for the Saints whereas Deas, Devine, Broadfoot and Carson are Caley’s most common offenders.

In Ireland Dundalk look the best bet away to Finn Harps. The hosts have won just two games this season, both against Shelbourne, while Dundalk’s recent form is only bettered by league leaders Shamrock Rovers.
A late winner at Derry City last time out moved the Lilywhites to within four points of second place and they could close the gap to one point with a win tonight if Derry go down at Sligo Rovers. They can be backed at 20/21 with SBK.
