1.15 Kempton – Coral’ Fail-To-Finish’ Free Bets Handicap Chase
Deyrann De Carjac finished third in a pair of Grade 2 novice chases a couple of seasons ago and has shaped quite well in three top handicaps at Cheltenham this season. He is 8lb lower than for his seasonal return and will find this race easier.
Selection: Deyrann De Carjac @ 7/2
1.50 Kempton – Coral Adonis Juvenile Hurdle
Knight Salute has been slightly underrated for what he has achieved this season and can add a third Grade 2 over hurdles to his CV. He holds Impulsive One on form and providing one of the newcomers isn’t well above average, he should get the job done.
Selection: Knight Salute @ 13/8
2.25 Kempton – Coral Pendil Novices’ Chase
I suspect we are yet to see the best of Alex Hales’s stable star Millers Bank over fences and he can right the wrong of his two previous unseats. The return to a right-handed track, better ground and a wind operation will help and he should go close with a clear round.
Selection: Millers Bank @ 4/1
3.00 Kempton – Sky Bet Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle
Shallwehaveonemore has been chalked up as the hot favourite for the Dovecote but faces a stern opponent in Aucunrisque. Trainer Chris Gordon won this with a similar type a couple of years ago and he is improving fast.
Selection: Aucunrisque @ 11/4
3.37 Kempton – Coral Trophy Handicap Chase
Jumping errors have hindered Zanza’s chasing career but he is undoubtedly well handicapped and is worth another chance. He is an interesting proposition upped to 3m for the first time and can go well at a price.
Selection: Zanza @ 10/1
4.10 Kempton – Play Coral ‘Racing-Super-Series’ For Free Handicap Hurdle
Navajo Pass beat Buveur D’Air in the Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock last season but has been below that form since. His handicap mark has been falling quickly but he showed more life on his last outing and might continue his resurgence upped to 2m5f.
Selection: Navajo Pass @ 9/1
4.45 Kempton – Coral Committed To Safer Gambling Open National Hunt Flat Race
Jonjo O’Neill is operating at a healthy 24 per cent strike-rate with his bumper runners this season and Itso Fury can improve that statistic. He shaped well at Southwell when third on his first start for the yard and looks the one to beat.
Selection: Itso Fury @ 15/8
