There’s slim pickings for punters on Friday, unless you’re a fan of Edinburgh City or Stirling Albion.
The League Two sides are the only ones in action in Scotland and England tonight so we need to cast our net a bit wider for a bet.
FC Porto v Sporting is the biggest match in Europe this evening and it’s live on BT Sport 3 (8.05pm kick-off) . The top two in Portugal clash at Estádio do Dragão in a match that could go a long way to determining the destination of the Primeira Liga title.
It’s Sérgio Conceição’s Porto that lead the way with a six point gap to their rivals so this is looking like a must-win game for Sporting. However, they’ve not won in this fixture in the league since 2016, a run of 10 meetings without a win and won just one Primeira Liga match in Oporto since 2007.
Tonight’s hosts have been near flawless in the campaign so far, only dropping two points in their 21 matches so far and with home advantage, where they’ve won ten out of ten they look a fair price at 21/20 (Bet365).
In France, PSG are motoring towards regaining the Ligue 1 title and like Porto have an excellent home record in the league where they’ve only dropped two points in 11 matches. They welcome 5th placed Rennes to Le Parc des Princes and are 4/7 to win.
Pairing PSG up with Seville makes for a Double at just over 6/5. The Andalusians are nearest challengers to Real Madrid in La Liga and are another side that are unbeaten at home, winning eight and drawing three. Elche are the visitors and they’ve been in pretty good form to be fair, earning a draw at the Bernabeu a few weeks ago so things could be a bit sticky for Sevilla but we’ll put trust in that excellent home record.
