MONDAY Night Football kicks-off a little earlier tonight as last remains of the ‘festive fixtures’ conclude in the Premier League and Championship.
Old rafford is the destination for he Sky Sports team, where Manchester United (11/20) welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers (21/4) in a 5.30 kick-off.
United are miles off the pace at the top of the table, 22 poins behind Manchester City, but a win tonight and a victory in their other game in hand and they could find themselves in the top four and that has to be target for Ralf Rangnick between now and the end of the end of the season.
Rangnick has overseen a unbeaten start as interim manager and should make it six without defeat tonight against a Wolves side who somehow sit in the top half of the table despite scoring just 13 goals in 18 games. A massive 15 of those 18 have finished Under 2.5 Goals and thier matches average just 1.50 goals per game.
It’s not a fixture that’s prodcuced many goals of late either, just six goals in the last six meetings with five of those going under 1.5 goals. With that in mind a win to nil for the Red Devils might be the bes option a 7/5.
Later in the evening all eyes will be on the Ally Pally and the bookies can barely separate Michael Smith (1/1) and Peter Wright (4/5). It’s an England v Scotland battle to be crowned World Champion and it should be cracker that could go all the way.
Wright booked his place in the final by setting a new record for the number of 180s in a match and he’s 6/5 to score more maximums than Smith. Alternatively he’s 5/6 to bag Over 31.5 180s, as is Smith.
