FOUR Premier League games survive on *checks calendar* Tuesday.
It’s easy to lose track of which day it is at this time of the year, especially if you’re a footballer when the games come thick and fast.
Liverpool and Leicester meet for the second time in just six days and it could be another cracker at the King Power Stadium tonight. The Foxes’ defensive issues have been apparent all year, they’ve conceded 63 goals in 39 Premier League games and their last nine games have seen a whopping 42 goals – Over 4.5 goals per game on average.
In Liverpool, they face the most prolific team in the league. The Reds have scored two or more 15 of their 18 matches so far, averaging 2.7 goals per game and have scored two or more in seven of the last nine meetings with Leicester.
Jurgen Klopp’s squad appears to be in better health than Brendan Rodgers’, who has several players out so no surprise to see Liverpool as short as 1/3 to win.
Goals should be on the menu again. Over 2.5 goals has landed in eight of the last nine clashes between the sides while over 3.5 goals have been scored in the last four.
A Liverpool win plus Over 3.5 Goals pays a tasty 7/5.
Spurs appear to have found their mojo once more under Antonio and so does Harry Kane. The England captain has endured a pretty barren season by his standards but has netted in his last two Premier League outings. He also loves a goal against Southampton, having scored 10 in 11 appearances against the Saints. He’s 3/1 to open he scoring at St Mary’s tonight or 5/6 to score anytime.
Norwich looked doomed already this season and should probably be opposed at every opportunity. Tonight is one of hos opportunities since hosts Crystal Palace are a backable price of 8/13. The Canaries have lost their last four and scored just once in their last six so if the Eagles can get on the scoresheet you’d have to fancy them to take something from the game.
Norwich have failed to win in 16 visits to Selhurst Park and manager Dean Smith will have to choose a staring XI from a weakened squad. Palace will be without the suspended Zaha but should be strong enough to secure the three points.
