Hearts v Ross County
ROSS COUNTY can take at least a point from Tynecastle when they face Hearts on Sunday.
Malky Mackay’s side grabbed a massive three points in Perth in midweek when they defeated St Johnstone and the Staggies have enjoyed a fantastic revival.
They have lost just twice in their last nine games since October and they were both against the Old Firm. They’ve scored in ten of their last 11 games and have plenty of firepower up front.
Hearts appear to have gone off the boil recently with four defeats from their last eight. They are usually strong in Gorgie and the loss of all but 500 of their fans on Sunday won’t help them one little bit.
County are awash with confidence just now and the 7/5 for them on the double chance for a draw or a win looks decent value.
Hamilton v Kilmarnock
KILMARNOCK parted company with Tommy Wright last week, but it’s typical for a team to bounce back with a win after that happens and they can get the points at Hamilton Accies.
The Rugby Park side should be embarrassed at sitting in fifth place in the Championship with the squad they have, but sometimes it just takes a switch of style to change things.
James Fowler will take charge on an interim basis for the trip to Lanarkshire to face an Accies side who got an excellent win themselves last week at Inverness.
Killie have already defeated Hamilton twice this season in the league and once in the Challenge Cup for good measure. Accies have only won once at New Douglas Park since October and Killie can revitalise their promotion hopes by winning at their fellow relegated club.
Annan Athletic v Kelty Hearts
KELTY HEARTS are, for once, something approaching a backable price when they travel to face in-form Annan Athletic on Sunday.
Kevin Thomson’s side are absolute certainties to win League Two this season and the big-spending Fifers are seven points clear at the top with a game in hand.
They face an Annan side in good form after four wins in a row in all competitions.
But Kelty often reserve their best performances for away from their New Central Park home because teams tend to come out more and have a go at them.
That plays into the likes of Nathan Austin’s hands as Stranraer found out last week when they walloped them at Stair Park. And the 4/6 on offer is a fair price for the unbeaten side.
