The midweek Premier League card continues on a busy Wednesday night with six matches in the top flight, as well as a quartet of games in the Scottish Premiership, EFL Cup action a full card in Ligue 1 and a bunch of games in Serie A.
Everton fans must be fearful ahead of tonight’s Merseyside Derby. The Toffees are winless in seven and host a Liverpool side who have looked irresistable at times this season.
That said, the blue half of the city hold the current bragging rights following Everton’s 2-0 win over the Reds back in February – a result that halted a run of 20 matches without a win in this fixture.
But normal service should be resumed at Goodison Park tonight with Liverpool just 4/11 and thier hosts a massive 13/2 to claim all three points.
Liverpool have equalled Sunderland’s 1927 record of scoring two or more in 17 consecutive matches in all competitions and can add to that record with a couple of goals against their rivals. The Liverpool win & over 1.5 Liverpool goals pays 8/13.
Chelsea were reeled in a bit at the top of the table following their 1-1 draw with Man Utd so there’ll be no room for slip-ups at Vicarage Road. The Blues have a phenomenal away record under Thomas Tuchel, losing just two of 21 in all competitions, keeping 13 clean sheets.
The returning Romelu Lukaku will bolster the Chelsea attack and can lead them to another three points. The Blues are very short at 2/7 to win but a win to nil pays even money.
In Scotland it should be cracker at Easter Road where Rangers are the visitors. Hibernian stunned the Glasgow giants at Hampden a coupleof weeks ago so revenge will be in the air for the Gers.
It could be fiesty affair as there’s increasingly no love lost between the clubs and with John Beaton (avg 5.43 cards per game in the Premiership) on the whistle we could see some cards. Hibs’ Ryan Porteous always seems to get himself in to trouble in this fixture and he’s best bet for a card at 11/8.
