After seeing their perfect start to the season spoiled against the Arizona Cardinals last time out, the Los Angeles Rams will be looking for a quick response.
Thursday night throws up a mouthwatering battle in the NFC West, and it’s an encounter the Rams might well win on the road at the home of the Seattle Seahawks.
Rams Ready to Bounce Back
The Rams got their NFL campaign off to an impressive start with wins over the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, before going to the home of the reigning Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay and beating the Buccaneers 34-24.
The unbeaten Cardinals look a force to be reckoned with this season, and it was Arizona who managed to win the day, with a 37-30 victory in LA last time out.
Now the Rams hit the road for just the second time this term but they look capable of bouncing back at the first time of asking.
It’s a quicker turnaround for the Rams after that loss to the Cardinals, but that might just be what they need as they look to move on from that defeat as quickly as possible.
The Rams are deserved 5/7 favourites and with their ability to get the ball down field quickly, it could be a tough night for the 6/5 Seahawks.
Seattle Too Loose for Rams
There have been issues with the Seahawks defense throughout the campaign so far, and it looks like they could struggle again at Lumen Field.
Seattle have conceded an average of 25 points a game in their opening four outings of the season, which include wins over the Colts and San Francisco 49ers, along with losses to the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings.
It appears to be issues in the Seahawks’ secondary that is causing the problems, as they allow simply too much space and time for runners in the backfield.
LA quarterback Matthew Stafford has enjoyed a positive start to the season, passing for 1,222 yards, at an average of 309.3 a game.
With an impressive 11 touchdown passes already this term, Stafford has the quality and form to really get at this leaky Seahawks defence.
Ramsey to Give Wilson Problems
In Jalen Ramsey, Los Angeles have one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and he looks set to cause issues for Seattle quarterback Russell WIlson.
Playmaker Wilson has already spoken highly of Ramsey in the build up to the game, with the CB seemingly given the freedom to cause havoc in the Rams’ defense backfield.
Expect Ramsey to have another strong game, as the Rams look to continue their impressive form against Seattle, winning six of their last eight encounters with the Seahawks.
The Rams are 25/27 yo win with a -2.5 handicap, while over 54.5 points in the contest is on offer at 10/11.
LA should come out on top in this potentially high-scoring affair to further strengthen their position in the NFC West.
