It was brilliant but a bit of a surprise to win aboard Solent Getaway on Derby Day at Epsom last Saturday. It was a huge thrill to win by a nose in front of a crowd at Epsom – the atmosphere was great and having punters back on course. Next week we will have 12,000 every day at Royal Ascot. I will be having a daily blog next week so check back in for Day 1 of Royal Ascot!
I will also be on ITV Racing for a handful of days too so keep your eyes peeled for that next week!
I am also riding at Nottingham on Monday for the MansionBet-sponsored day.
Hayley’s Rides this Saturday at Bath
3:10pm – BORN TO DESTROY
I rode BORN TO DESTROY last week over course and distance. He gave me a good feel and it seems like he’s returning to his old form. He has dropped another 1lb for that run and with Richard Spencer’s horses running better, I think he has a good each-way chance.
3:45pm – HANDYTALK
HANDYTALK is a ride I’ve picked up for Rod Millman. He’s a course and distance winner which holds him in great stead here at Bath as it’s a real specialist track. He’s down to the mark he last won on (73) and he looks to have every chance here.
4:55pm – ACCRINGTON STANLEY
I rode ACCRINGTON STANLEY on his penultimate start for Paul George. He has been a bit disappointing in his last few runs but the plan is to change his tactics somewhat. We are stepping him up to 1-mile and will ride him with more patience. He is more than capable of winning a race of this quality and I’m looking forward to riding him.
Stay safe,
Hayley!
