2.10 – MansionBet 10 Get 20 Handicap (5f)
SOUL SEEKER escapes a penalty for his ultimately decisive Pontefract win over 5f in midweek. That was just his third start after joining David O’Meara and he readily quickened away from his nearest pursuer having made the running – the front pair miles clear of everything else.
Ventura Flame arrives after a win at Beverley and has scored over C&D in the past, but she may struggle to deal with this in-form opponent.
Selection: Soul Seeker @ 10/11
2.40 – MansionBet Beaten By A Head Buttonhook Handicap (1m5f)
Top-weight Hochfeld carries a 4lb penalty for Wednesday’s Nottingham success and should go well again as he got the job done well there.
Ben Lilly has now won 6-10 starts on turf, including over2m+ at Doncaster recently. The drop is trip is fine for him and he’s a major player.
NICHOLAS T took advantage of a declining mark with a decisive win at Newcastle on the all-weather in November. He’s 6lb higher now, but has won fresh in the past and makes each-way appeal at the prices.
Selection: Nicholas T @ 12/1
3.15 – MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed EBF Tangerine Trees Conditions Stakes (5f)
Dragon Symbol made it 3-3 on the all-weather at Kempton last month, easily defying an opening mark of 85. Archie Watson’s colt holds outstanding claims if he transfers that form onto the grass.
Burning Cash (second) was ahead of MUKER (fourth) at Nottingham last month, a race in which Philip Makin’s Mehmas colt was the well-backed favourite. Muker shaped as if needing that comeback and is worth a second chance.
Selection: Muker @ 5/1
3.55 – MansionBet Watch and Bet Handicap (1m3f)
EL PICADOR made the frame on his seasonal return at Redcar last month, doing his best work late on and hinting that he’ll relish the first attempt at this longer trip on the Flat.
Both the winner and fourth from that Redcar race won next-time-out and, eased 1lb by the handicapper, Keith Dalgleish’s contender makes plenty appeal now.
Selection: El Picador @ 2/1
4.25 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Handicap (1m)
Former course winner Delph Crescent wasn’t beaten far when third at Beverley 10 days ago and should be in the firing line back here but only a short-head denied JACKHAMMER at Ayr in midweek on his return to action.
He didn’t have the clearest passage and would have got up with another stride. He, too, is a former C&D scorer and looks sure to go close.
Selection: Jackhammer @ 3/1
4.55 – Follow MansionBet Maiden Stakes (1m)
Frankel colt FANTASTIC FOX has finished third at Nottingham and Newbury either side of his winter break. Last month’s bronze came behind two promising rivals, the trio having pulled a long way clear of their remaining rivals.
It will be a surprise if Roger Varian’s doesn’t oblige now.
Selection: Fantastic Fox @ 2/7
5.25 – Download The MansionBet App Handicap (6f)
Pearl Of Qatar found plenty for pressure to win at Ayr (6f, good to firm) in midweek. The margin was thin and a 5lb penalty asks for more, but he’s been fairly consistent on the all-weather this year and takes his racing well.
YUKON MISSION ran well in two turf runs at Pontefract and Goodwood last August and has scope to win races frim this mark – especially if coming on for last month’s return to action.
Selection: Yukon Mission @ 10/3
