The Lakers and the Celtics will aim to get back to winning ways as they headline tomorrow’s nine-game slate here in the NBA.
These two age-old rivals have slumped down to the standings with consecutive losses, and both will be searching for home comfort when they host their conference rivals.
On the other hand, the Raptors, Pistons, Heat, Bulls, Grizzlies, Thunder, and the Warriors are all looking to win at home as well in order to boost their playoff NBA 2021 odds since we’re approaching the halfway mark of the season.
Let’s examine tomorrow’s matches here at SBOTOP.
Indiana Pacers @ Boston Celtics
Something needs to change if the Celtics are going to revisit their championship aspirations.
With defencive stalwart Marcus Smart out for some time, Boston need to improve as they are now two games below .500.
All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been doing all they can, but the others need to step up for the Brad Stevens-coached squad.
The Pacers, meanwhile, are fresh from a loss against the Warriors and they are keen to avoid falling to below .500 just like the Celtics.
Betting Tip: Boston Celtics Asian Handicap -3.50 @ 2.03
Houston Rockets @ Toronto Raptors
Houston has been on a free fall because their lineup is always in flux as Christian Wood and Victor Oladipo have been bothered by injuries.
Meanwhile, the Raptors too are on a skid after their four-game winning streak earlier this month.
Toronto lost back-to-back games against Miami and Philadelphia – which are two of the rumoured destinations for their point guard Kyle Lowry if he somehow gets traded soon.
Betting Tip: Toronto Raptors Asian Handicap -7.00 @ 1.92
Sacramento Kings @ Detroit Pistons
With the Kings and the Pistons slumping, at least one of them will get some reprieve tomorrow.
Sacramento are losers of nine straight while Detroit remain the worst team in the East after previously losing to New Orleans.
Rookie point guard Saben Lee has been a nice surprise for the Pistons, and it will be fascinating to see him match up with De’Aaron Fox.
Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat
The Jazz will head on over to Florida as they’ll face an improving Heat team.
Utah are standing high and mighty in the Western Conference, while Miami have won four consecutive games.
Donovan Mitchell and Jimmy Butler are expected to cancel each other out, but the key factor here is which team is going to win the interior.
Rudy Gobert and Bam Adebayo will lock horns in what should be a fun matchup, although Adebayo might sit this one out due to a knee injury.
Phoenix Suns @ Chicago Bulls
This game is sure to bring NBA 2021 highlights given the number All-Stars that will be present.
Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Zach LaVine recently got the nod to join the All-Star Game, and all of them are going to lead their respective teams to try and get a win.
On the other hand, Wendell Carter Jr. will have his hands full in trying to guard Deandre Ayton, who is fresh from a double-double outing against the Hornets.
Betting Tip: Phoenix Suns Asian Handicap -6.00 @ 2.02
Los Angeles Clippers @ Memphis Grizzlies
The Clippers and the Grizzlies continue their mini-series tomorrow at the FedEx Forum.
In their previous game, the Grizzlies defeated the Clippers in what was one of the biggest upsets this season.
It was an uncharacteristic outing for Paul George and Kawhi Leonard as they were checked by the Grizzlies’ defence.
Los Angeles only shot 35-per cent from three-point land last game and it is unlikely that they’ll shoot that bad again tomorrow.
Atlanta Hawks @ Oklahoma City Thunder
The Hawks and the Thunder will look to build a win streak when they go head-to-head at the Chesapeake Arena.
Atlanta are fresh from a convincing win over Boston as Danilo Gallinari waxed hot from deep, while Oklahoma City beat San Antonio as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a career night.
Trae Young and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were both snubbed in the All-Star selection and they will prove to everyone why they should be there in the first place.
Charlotte Hornets @ Golden State Warriors
The Warriors can avenge their earlier defeat to the Hornets when the latter visits town.
When these two clubs played in Charlotte, the Hornets eked out a 102-100 win as Terry Rozier scored the game-winner after a controversial technical foul call on Draymond Green.
The Hornets will want a replay of the said game tomorrow, but the presence of Curry alone should tilt this game into the Warriors’ favour.
Betting Tip: Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -6.00 @ 1.89
Portland Trail Blazers @ Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers plan to snap their four-game losing skid when the Blazers meet them for the second time this season.
Los Angeles have struggled mightily on offence since they are playing without Dennis Schroder and Anthony Davis.
LeBron James will need all the help he can get for them to grab their 23rd win of the season, but it is more likely that he’ll have to pull out his do-it-all toolbox once again.
Betting Tip: Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -5.00 @ 1.88
