View our expert’s Mega Footy Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Saturday.
Our Acca Tips are mostly on the win-daw-win markets and largely based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Leicester City (12.30pm)
It’s crunch time for Liverpool in the Premier League. The defending champions are 10 points off the pace and must attempt to keep their title hopes alive with a win at the King Power stadium on Saturday at lunch-time.
The Foxes are three points better off than the Reds and have lost just once this calendar year (a surprise 1-3 defeat to Leeds). Liverpool have a really good record in this fixture but go into the game with just two wins in seven. Leicester shouldn’t be as big as 12/5 to win here and are worth adding to our Mega Footy Accumulator.
Bournemouth (12.30pm)
Jonathan Woodgate says he’s not thinking about take up the Cherries job on a permanent basis but his audition is going pretty well. It looks like he’s able to get a tune out the squad that eluded predecessor Jason Tindall.
There’s no doubt that Bournemouth have one of the best squads in the Championship and are quite capable of going on an extended run of good results to put themseves firmly in the promotion picture.
A trip to the Ciy Ground looks a bit trickier now than it would’ve been earlier in the season but it’s still just four home wins from 14 for Forest and they’ve all come against teams in the bottom half, two of them against bottom-five sides.
Dundee Utd (3.00pm)
A bit of a punt this one and it’s all dependent on how Livingston respond to their first defeat last week under David Martindale. The Lions have been on incredible form since he was appointed but St Johnstone burst their bubble last weekend with a 2-1 win at the Toni Macaroni Stadium.
Dundee Utd picked up a much-needed win at Ross County last weekend to end a run of winless matches so will go in to this with a bit more confidence. This is the match that could leave the Mega Acca with egg on it’s face but at odds of over 3/1 the Arabs are worth a punt.
Alloa (3.00pm)
It’s the battle to avoid the drop at Recreation Park on Saturday when Arbroath make the trip to Clackmannanshire. A win for the home side would take them level with Abroath on points.
The Wasps have only picked up eight points in their eight home matches but they’ve scored in seven of those AND they won at Abroath back in December.
Aston Villa (8.00pm)
Villa have had a great season so far and won more on the road than they have at Villa Park. When they click they can be a match for just about any side in the Premier League and are good enough to win at Brighton.
The Seagulls have managed just one win at home all season – a 1-0 win over Harry Kane-less Spurs.
6/4 on Villa who are unbeaten in their last three visits to Brighton is worth taking on.
