The Serie A title race is shaping up to be a battle of the San Siro and I like the look of a Bet Builder double that involves both Milan giants on Saturday.
AC Milan vs Atalanta (Saturday, 17:00)
AC Milan continue to set the pace in Serie A but their title credentials will be put to the test when attack-minded Atalanta pitch up at the San Siro on Saturday evening.
The Rossoneri’s remarkable unbeaten run was ended by Juventus earlier this month, however, Milan have rebounded with back-to-back 2-0 wins over Torino and Cagliari.
Atalanta, meanwhile, have avoided defeat in each of their last six Serie A assignments, however, La Dea head into this dust-up on the back of two successive draws.
Given that goals tend to be a regular feature in matches involving either of these sides I’m going to add over one match goal to the recommended Bet Builder.
Each of AC Milan’s 18 league matches this season have produced two or more goals, while 16/18 games involving Gian Piero Gasperini’s goalgetters have generated two or more strikes.
With that in mind, I’m more than happy to support two or more match goals on Saturday night and with a closely-fought contest anticipated I’ll also back both teams to pick up at least one card.
Both sides are averaging just over two yellow cards per 90 minutes this season, while referee Maurizio Mariani is averaging 4.5 cautions per game this term.
Udinese vs Inter Milan (Saturday, 17:00)
Inter Milan made a significant statement of intent with a well-deserved 2-0 win over Juventus last Sunday and they will look to assert their superiority when they travel to Udinese on Saturday.
Antonio Conte’s star-studded side have won nine of their last 11 Italian top-flight tussles to move within just three points off the summit of the standings.
Next up for the Nerazzurri is a trip to the Stadio Friuli to face an Udinese side who are winless in eight matches and as a result find themselves perched precariously above the relegation zone.
Luca Gotti’s side have recorded just three clean sheets in 18 league matches this season and that does not bode well ahead of a bout with the division’s leading scorers.
With that in mind, I’ll again side with over one match goal in this half of the Bet Builder double but I’ll combine that with at least one Udinese card and over one match card.
Referee Fabio Maresca’s average card count this season is a whopping 7.33 per game so I’m more than happy to combine at least one card for the hosts here alongside two cautions in the match to bring the Bet Builder double up to 10/11 with Bet 365.
