BRENDAN Rodgers was about as popular as a Boris Johnson in Brussels on here on Monday as his much-changed, well-backed side laboured to a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
He left Vardy, Maddison and Tielemans kicking their heels on the bench and paid the price, missing the chance to close the gap on leaders Liverpool.
Ray McKinnon’s Queen’s Park were just as unpopular as they were held to a 1-1 draw ater 90 minutes by East of Scotland Football League side Dundonald Bluebell. The Spiders went off at 1/14 but needed extra-time to overcome their plucky opponents.
Hopefully things are a little more straightforward for punters on Tuesday.

Selectabet’s Football Tips
My main bet is an Over 1.5 Goals Treble on Tuesday. Goals should flow in the early kick-off at Brighton. Arsenal can’t keep a clean sheet and both teams have scored in the last five meetings.
Top scorers Blackburn travel to Huddersfield and this another fixture with a good history of goals. Over 1.5 goals has landed in the last seven meetings, in six of those both teams have scored.
To complete the treble go with goals at Raith v Queen of the South. The Doonhamers have been in poor form but despite a raft of defeats still seem to know their way to goal and have found the net in seven of nine. Raith should win but might need to score two or more to do so.
In the Championship Stoke City look generously priced at 6/4 to beat fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest. Forest’s recent mini-revival sees them unbeaten in three (W1 D2) but those results were against teams currently 20th, 17th and 16th in the table. Stoke present a much sterner challenge and their home record deserves more respect than the 6/4 price in my opinion.
Southend‘s reversal of fortunes has been as surprising as it has been welcomed at Roots Hall. Having looked doomed for most of the season they’re now unbeaten in five and have picked up 11 points in that period having won just five points in their previous 14 league outings.
They travel to Leyton Orient, who, on current form, are just too short to be backing at 3/4. The O’s have lost five of their last six in all competitions. The Shrimpers are 15/4 to win and 5/2 to score two or more. They’re also backable at 9/4 in the Draw No Bet market.
Morton could be worth a punt at Ayr United in the Scottish Championship. Since taking a 5-0 hammering at Raith at the beginning of November ‘Ton are unbeaten in the last five (inside 90 minutes) and they won the last encounter against the Honest Men by three goals to two.
