IT’S a big day for Celtic who are aiming to stay on course for a Quadruple treble.
The Scottish Cup semi-finals have been held over from last season and Neil Lennon’s men face Aberdeen at Hampden for the right to meet Hearts.
Saturday’s first semi-final provided a mild surprise with Hearts beating Hibs after extra time in atrocious conditions at the National Stadium.
Jambos boss dedicated the win to former skipper Marius Zaliukas who died on Saturday aged just 36. That’s tragic and it’s a fitting tribute – especially if they go on to lift the trophy – to a player who also turned out for Leeds and Rangers.
Elsewhere on Sunday Rangers head to Kilmarnock knowing victory will hand them a nine-point advantage over Celtic and give them a big edge.
Steven Gerrard rested a few players in midweek against Lech Poznan so fatigue shouldn’t be a problem and a I fancy an improved side to beat a Killie outfit that have give them plenty of problems in the past. Rangers at 3-10 is fine for accas although that’s been cut from 4-9.
Kevin Mac has posted match previews and predictions for the games at Hampden and Rugby Park and we have some Premier League previews too.
Game of the day is Man United vs Arsenal as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side try to build on their best display of the season against Leipzig in midweek when they won 5-0 in the Champions League.
Other games are Aston Villa vs Southampton, Newcastle vs Everton and Spurs vs Brighton. Jose Mourinho rested most of his main men at Antwerp in midweek and again with the likes of Kane and Son they should be beating Brighton.
On the Continent most of the big games are in Italy and France and I’ll have a wee study of those.
A Rangers, Celtic, Spurs treble shouldn’t be far away at 23-10 with betfair and I might recommend that or put up alternative tips later or in the morning.
