The Robins are top after victories over Coventry, Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest and head to Barnsley on Saturday.
The hosts have one point from their opening four games and goals have been a real problem, scoring just once in that run with that goal came from the penalty spot.
Bristol City are unbeaten in nine matches against Barnsley and should head to Oakwell full of confidence, they are 8/5 to collect the points.
Blues and Owls Evenly Matches
One team in a false position are Sheffield Wednesday, who are rock bottom due to a points deduction at the start of the campaign.
The Owls have shown signs that they can pull off the great escape and maintain their Championship status. Garry Monk is looking to build his side around a solid defensive foundation, with just three goals conceded in four games.
This Saturday they face a Birmingham side that have also been tight at the back, keeping two clean sheets in their four games to date.
The last three meetings between the sides have ended all squad, while both are no strangers to settling for a point this season and a share of the spoils – available at 2/1 – looks on the cards.
Travel Sick R’s Face Dean Court Disappointment
Having lost their manager and a number of key players following Premier League relegation, Bournemouth would have been forgiven for a slow start.
But the Cherries are unbeaten after four games and have moved into the top three and will expect to extend that run this weekend, when they play host to QPR.
In contrast, the R’s have followed up their opening day win over Forest with a defeat and two draws heading into their trip to the south coast.
Their away record will also be a major concern for boss Mark Warburton, with just two wins in their last 15 games on the road.
Bournemouth are 20/29 to inflict another miserable away day on the west London side.
Finally, a quick word on Reading. Many expect the Royals to slip off the pace but for now, they continue to impress.
Veljko Paunovic’s men are 5/2 to win at Middlesbrough, who can be backed at 23/20 to claim back-to-back victories.
