Greece vs Moldova (Sunday, 19:45)
Greece will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to their Nations League campaign when they play host Moldova on Sunday night.
The Greeks played out a dour 0-0 draw away at Slovenia in their section opener before picking up an eye-catching 2-1 win away at Kosovo.
Moldova, meanwhile, prop up the section after two rounds of fixtures, however, Engin Firat’s side kicked off their campaign by collecting a point at home to Kosovo.
Having said that, that draw with Kosovo is only one of two occasions that Moldova have avoided defeat across their last 15 international assignments.
The Eastern European minnows were thumped 6-0 in Florence last midweek and are now without a win in their last 11 fixtures.
The bookies fully expect that sequence to be extended on Sunday night, with a Greece success trading at a general 1/5, however, there is an alternative angle that makes appeal when making use of 888Sport‘s Bet Builder feature.
The combination that I like the look of is Greece to win, over 1.5 match goals and over 5.5 match corners – all of which combined will give us backable 4/5 shot with 888Sport.
Greece, having won four of their last six matches, are enjoying their best run of results for some time and I fully expect John van ‘t Schip’s side to put Moldova to the sword in the Greek capital on Sunday night.
Moldova have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 11 international tussles and they were leaking goals during the last qualifying campaign – conceding four times on four occasions
With that in mind, I fancy in-form Greece to grab at least a few goals in this contest and it’s also worth noting that the above-mentioned Bet Builder would have banked profit in three of the Greeks last four triumphs.
