IT looked being a quiet night in the Nations League until a flurry of late activity.
I’d given up on my treble but the Faroes netted twice in the final three minutes to beat Malta then Celtic new boy Shane Duffy headed an equaliser for Ireland in Sofia in the 93rd minute.
Germany conceded an injury-time equaliser to Spain but it didn’t matter as I had the home team not to lose. My treble paid out as a double and that was better than a loser.
Well done to all the winners on Thursday and as we look at Friday’s game it’s interesting to note just one out of 12 games was one by more than one goal – Russia beating Serbia 3-1.
Plenty of Friday’s contests look close affairs and I’ve posted tips a preview focusing on Scotland vs Israel. My Super Single and Top Treble are reasoned there.
Scott Allot has posted predictions and a match preview for Romania vs Northern Ireland.
Other matches include Holland vs Poland, Italy vs Bosnia and Norway vs Austria and busy weekend of EFL Cup games starts with Middlesbrough vs Shrewsbury and Burton vs Accrington.
Super Single

- (11-4, McBookie)
Top Treble
