IT was a quiet Monday but now attention turns to the midweek Champions League qualifiers – just two days after last season’s final.
Just two games on Tuesday – Tirana vs Red Star Belgrade and PAOK vs Besiktas – while on Wednesday there are 11 so a bit of an imbalance.
Wednesday’s matches include Celtic vs Ferencvaros at Parkhead and the Hoops will want to be on their game to take care of the dangerous Hungarians.

Other tasty ties feature AZ vs Plzen, Cluj vs Dinamo Zagreb and Dinamo Brest vs Sarajevo.
It’s the start of the friendly season too with loads of games on Tuesday involving British sides including Liverpool vs Red Bull Salzburg, Ipswich vs West Ham and Newcastle vs Crewe.
