YOU know football is starting to return when you have a busy Wednesday card to look forward to and like yesterday’s NAP success, I’m staying in the German 3. Liga.
Promotion chasing Wurzburger Kickers host already relegated Carl Zeiss Jena and its a match that looks stromg for corners (from both sides)
Elsewhere there are a full cards in the Austrian 2. Liga and the Czech First league and its the latter I’m looking at for total match goals and some loose change early goals rom the 8 matches kick off at 5pm
Wurzburger Kickers vs Carl Zeiss Jena (KO 6pm)
It’s the home sides biggest match of the season as they have an opportunity to move not just into the promotion spots but they can close the gap on league leaders MSV to just one point with a win at home to lowly Jena.
There’s 29 points separating these two – Jena are already planning for next season in the lower leagues and the bookies certainly aren’t giving them much of a chance and no wonder, they are 18 points a drift at the bottom.
Don’t be fooled though anf think Jena are just going to lie down and are only here to make up the numbers – they’ve been more than competitive in their three games since retunring and what stands out for me is the corner performances.
On the road they are hitting just under 5.0 team corners per game (better than 9 other sides) and despite their league position, they’ve hit 5/8/4 corners since returning. They’ve also seen both sides score in 13 of their last 14 away games.
When you dig a bit deeper, their away corner count is impressive – 4/6/4/3/5/1/4/6/5/10/5/6 from their last 12 away games and they delivered 4+ in 10 of those 12 matches. They have the 4th highest corner conceded count in the league, avg 5.5 per match and they are away at a side who have the second best corners for records in the league with 6.3 corners per game.
Given the importance of this match to the home side and their impressive corners counts you’d have to expect them to be racking up at least 6 or 7 corners here against the leagues bottom side, that said, Jena’s corner performances are terrific for a side in their predicament. With no pressure on the visitors I see no reason why they can’t rack up another 4+ comers here at a terrific price.
Recommended Bets
- 10+ match corners
- 4/5 (NAP) (Skybet)
- Carl Zeiss Jena 3+ Team Corners
- 4/6 (Skybet)
- Carl Zeiss Jena 4+ Team Corners
- 11/8 (Skybet)
Czech First League – Total Match Goals – 8 matches (5pm)
Its the penultimate round of matchs from the Czech top flight and there is plenty to play for most of these sides before the split.
As history has proven, when you get to the last few rounds in a league, the number of goals we see increases and based on todays match ups we have some great looking games for goals , especially with Sparta Prague, Plzen, and Jablonec all at home to weaker opposition.
Skybet are offering total goals markets here and its definitely worth taking on at the stage of the season. With 8 matches being played, you only need a couple of them to see 4+ 5+ goals to give you a good chance.
Going to also put some loose change on all 8 matches going over 1.5 goals at 8/1 and all 8 a goal before 30 mins that will pay for your Christmas 🙂
Recommended Bets:
- 22+ Total goals to be scored
- 5/6 (NB) (Skybet)
Small stakes:
- All 8 matches over 1.5 goals
- 8/1 (William Hill)
- All 8 matches 4+ first half corners
- 14/1 (Skybet)
- All 8 matches a goal before 30 mins (Bet365 inplay)
