RANGERS’ best chance of striking silver is by lifting the Scottish Cup and they can keep their hopes alive tonight.
There are three decent ties this weekend with the Ibrox side’s visit to Hearts the pick of the bunch.
Steven Gerrard’s side will head to Tynecastle with revenge on their mind and with renewed confidence after a superb Europa League triumph at Braga.
That result gives them a second chance of a trophy but they’re one of the outsiders at 40-1 – while to win the Scottish Cup you can get 2-1 with sponsors William Hill.
It’s been a strange season for Gers – consistently good in Europe but inconsistent in the Premiership.
The title’s gone with Celtic 12 points clear and the writing was on the wall when they returned from their winter break to lose 2-1 to the Jambos.
Incredibly that remains Daniel Stendel’s only league win and his side remain at the foot of the table.
Both teams have scored in the last six
Tynecastle will be rocking again and the home fans can be the 12th man but I’m on Rangers to get the job done this time.
Admittedly they’re a bit short at a biggest 1-2 with McBookie but a bet that could land is Rangers and both to score at 2-1 with McBookie. Both teams have netted in the last six meetings at Tynecastle including two this season.
Hearts’ biggest threat will, as usual, come from Steven Naismith. He netted against his former side last month and is 2-1 at McBookie to score again.
Later tonight we have St Mirren v Aberdeen and the home side must be worth a look at 2-1 with Betfred.
Six goals in 2 games
Jim Goodwin’s men are on the up with one defeat in seven – although that includes five draws and a 0-0 at home to the Dons in the league.
Saints have found their scoring touch with six goals in two meetings with Motherwell and I’m going for Saints draw no bet at 21-20 with McBookie and Ladbrokes.
Jon Obika is Saints’ most likely scorer and the on-form hitman is 4-1 at McBookie to strike first.
After a run of low-scoring contests, the Dons’ last four have brought up BTTS & overs while Saints’ last six have seen both scoring. Back both to score at 19-20 with bet365.
Celtic have won 7 in a row in Perth
Celtic head to St Johnstone on Sunday on a low after crashing out of the Europa League.
Saints drew with Rangers last week and are unbeaten in six since losing 3-0 at home to Celtic but haven’t laid a finger on the champs this season with the other meeting a 7-0 defeat at Parkhead.
Celtic have won seven in a row at McDiarmid Park – five in a row to nil – and it’s difficult to see past them.
They are short at 3-10 with McBookie so for value look at Celtic and over 2.5 goals at evens with Paddy Power.
Morton look big at 11-4
In the Championship the best bet could be Morton at QoS. The Greenock men won at Ayr in midweek following four score draws.
Queens’ last victory was just before Christmas and Morton look a decent shout at 11-4 with bet365 and Morton draw no bet pays 13-8 at Betfred.
In League One the top four are on the road so that makes it a tough card. Best bets could actually be basement boys Stranraer are at home to Peterhead.
The Blues may be bottom but before losing at East Fife last week had drawn three in a row against Forfar, Raith and Falkirk.
Every chance they can avoid defeat against a Peterhead side that’s lost six out of seven. Stranraer draw no bet pays 6-5 at bet365 and Betfred.
