IF anything Monday’s weather was worse than Sunday’s – in Central Scotland anyway – so let’s hope the storms ease on Tuesday.
There are stacks of games scheduled in the Football League as well as Hamilton v Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
Hamilton aren’t an easy team to back but look big at 4-1 with the likes of bet365 and Ladbrokes at home to a side that hasn’t netted in five games – three 0-0 draws and two 1-1 defeats.
Aberdeen’s last goal came in the Scottish Cup against League One Dumbarton in a 1-0 win in December and their last seven matches have gone under 2.5 goals. On the other hand six of Accies’ previous seven have gone over 2.5.
Accies come off the back of 4-1 home defeats to Celtic and Rangers but they’re facing a side lacking in confidence and without a goalscorer of the quality of Odsonne Edouard or Alfredo Morelos.
Stats-wise they have a class act up top in Sam Cosgrove but the big Englishman has been suffering as much if any of his team-mates.
On current form the Dons shouldn’t be odds on – a biggest 4-5 at Betfred – and while Accies have conceded exactly four in their last three home games it’s unlikely their visitors will do the same.
I’m tempted by that 4-1 and in spells Accies played well against the Old Firm but I’m going safer with Accies draw no bet at 5-2 with bet365 and Betfred. Not to lose they are 11-10 with Betfred.
In England the big games include Brentford v Leeds and I put the Bees up as an early Super Single after profiting from backing against the Elland Road men on Saturday.
Nottm Forest were my 3-1 Super Single at the weekend and bookies have learned their lesson by making Brentford favourites but 6-4 with bet365 and others is still worth taking.
Leeds are clinging on to second after a horror run of four defeats in five and fifth-placed Brentford, who have netted eight in two wins against Hull and Middlesbrough, will leapfrog them with a win.
Forest are up to fourth and I’m putting them at home to Charlton on a treble with Peterborough, who are going for nine wins in a row at home to Southend, and Sunderland at home to Rochdale. That pays 21-10 at Sky Bet.
I’ll be studying my RFO in the morning and hopefully come up with a goals treble based on stats and form.
