IT was a glory night for the Old Firm as they took giant strides in the Europa League with fine.
Celtic went to Lazio as 9-2 shots but returned after making club history as the first team to win in Italy.
The result meant Neil Lennon’s side qualified for the group stages with two games to go and that’s some feat.
Rangers followed up with a fine 2-0 defeat of Porto with Alfredo Morelos again scoring first with a cracker. I tipped him and Ciro Immobile but the Super Single was Rangers draw no bet that won at evens.
It was Celtic who beat my Top Treble – I tipped them to score but never expected a victory and while they played well it was two pretty bas defensive mistakes that handed them the goals.
Man United and Wolves also won so a nice full house for the Brits in Europe.
Well done to all the winners on Thursday and there were some crackers. Scott came up trumps with his members bet and SlipsTips had a full house of winners on his Lazio v Celtic preview.
As usual my focus at this time of the week is on Saturday’s card and I’ve posted a Super Single shortlist.
I’ll look to put up at least one tip after I finish my write-ups for the Daily Record.
Norwich entertain Watford in the Premier League while in Scotland we have a Dundee v Dundee United derby and that should be action-packed. Dundee will be out to avenge a 6-2 defeat they suffered at Tannadice and there should be plenty of goals again.
Other games to consider are Real Sociedad v Leganes, Sassuolo v Bologna, Cologne v Hoffenheim and Nice v Bordeaux as well as lower-league games in the likes of Holland and France.
