ALL eyes are already on the Old Firm derby on Sunday but there’s the small matter of Saturday’s Scottish games to play out first.
In the Premiership St Johnstone look value at 2-1 with Ladbrokes at home to Kilmarnock. Bookies are still judging Killie on last season’s team and the home men should be favourites.
Tommy Wright’s side were much improved at Hibs last week and the manager’s injury problems has eased. He has also finally sealed the signing of Stevie May from Aberdeen.
Wright’s been chasing the big man for weeks and he is 7-1 at McBookie to celebrate his return with the first goals.
Saints draw no bet is a contender for bet of the day at 11-10 with Marathonbet and Killie will again be missing Celtic target Greg Taylor who will although join up later with the Scotland squad.
I also like Livingston at 10-11 with Coral to beat a St Mirren side who have competed well but look light up top. Livi were breathtaking in winning 4-1 at Ross County last week and have made a fine start to the season despite missing key men such as Craig Halkett from last season’s campaign.
Should be goals at Motherwell v Hibs while I’m leaving Aberdeen v Ross County alone as the Dons have defensive injury problems. The other game is Hearts v Hamilton and with Steven Naismith back I’ll take the home men to edge it.
Just three games in the Championship after Friday’s two crackers and best bets could be Ayr at Partick. Ian McCall’s men have won their previous three at Firhill and are 21-10 at McBookie against a side that threw away a 2-0 lead to lose to Morton last Friday.
Again in League One I’d be looking at goals and specifically the games between East Fife v Raith and Montrose v Dumbarton.
In League Two it’s been all about Cove who have been excellent additions. They’ve been winning and conceding to bets today at home to Queen’s Park are Cove and over 2.5 goals at 8-5 with Betway and Cove and btts at 3-1 at 888sport.

- Livingston at home to St Mirren (11-10, Marathonbet)
- Ayr at Partick Thistle (43-20, Marathonbet)
