The Dundee Derby kicks us off tonight in what is a tasty looking weekend of fixtures. Plenty to get stuck into, including the usual Austrian and French matches tonight but it’s Tannadice where most my attention will be.
Selectabet and I recorded our 4th Podcast yesterday and it’s now available to listen to and contains detailed previews of tonight’s Dundee, Derby, goal bets from Scotland and England tomorrow and thoughts on the first Old Firm game of the season as Rangers host Celtic at Ibrox.
Dundee United vs Dundee (KO 7.45pm)
I won’t add to much to what I already said on this weeks podcast but its difficult to oppose United, three wins from three in the league, 7 wins from their last 8 at home and they have the hottest striker in the league and unless you have been living under a rock for the last 12 months, you’ll be well aware of Lawrence Shankland.
The Bookies will be praying he doesn’t score and certainly not 1st as he looks to add to the 6 goals he’s scored already this season.
8 of the last 9 Derbies have seen over 2.5 goals and that’s also worth a look at. Seen a few comments about games like this with so much anticipation turning into 0-0 bore draws but I can’t see that happening here.
United look good for the win but its United team goals I’ll be on again after backing them to score two at 6/4 against Dunfermline last weekend.
Its been hammering it down with rain up here and that could certainly aid the booking count. United defender Mark Connolly has already been booked 3 times this season and is worth backing for a booking tonight at 11/8
Recommended Bets:
- Dundee United over 1.5 match goals
- 10/11 (Skybet)
- Over 2.5 match goals
- 1/1 (William Hill)
- Mark Connolly to be carded
- 11/8 (Bet365)
Caen vs Le Havre (KO 7pm)
I was on Le Havre last week to beat Grenoble and tipped striker Tindo Kadaware to net and he didn’t disappoint with 2 goals in a 3-1 win bringing his total to the season to an terrific 8 goals in just 5 league games.
Le Havre have been in terrific form this season and travel to Caen and I feel the bookies have go this all wrong/
15/8 you are getting for over 2.5 goals and when you look at Le Havre ‘s scoring power this season there is no way the price for goals should be as big
Recommended bet:
- Over 2.0 goals Asian handicap (Stake returned)
- 11/10 (Bet365)
